Leh Motorbike Tour – Day 2 – Pangong Lake

After my legendary motorbike tour from Manali to Leh I would continue the motorbike tour around Leh where we visited the Nubra Valley and the Pangong Lake. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, we visited the Pangong lake on the last evening of the tour, and that blue colored lake with its amazing colorful mountains around. It was a beautiful thing to see and so peaceful in one of the tensest regions on the planet right now. On the first day, we slept in the Nubra Valley and had the pleasure to see the only sand dunes at high altitude with even double-humped camels living there. Here is the video of the second day.

How much I spent in one day in Laos – the Video

It’s time to see how much I spent in one day in Laos. I have to say, Laos is really cheap! Especially the activities are incredibly cheap, and the local food is also affordable. I spent a little bit more on that day because I had a private Hotel room. This has two reasons. First of all, I needed some privacy, and I found that the Hostels in Laos are just not as good as in the rest of SEA, so I decided myself for a private room and paid a lot more than for a Hostel room.

A day with the Elephants

In Chiang Mai, I went on a day tour to the Elephants at an Elephant sanctuary. We could feed them, give them medicine and after that, we could bath one of the elephants. I was a fantastic experience, and I can only recommend you do it too. Just pay attention that you don’t ride an elephant, please make sure before the booking if there is no riding included.

How much I spent in one day in Cambodia – Video

Cambodia is expensive – yes it may be located in southeast Asia, but it is the most expensive country I visited until now. Why? What I heard is that the Chinese invest so much in this country located next to Vietnam and Thailand, so the prices rise steadily. Another reason might be that everything is paid in USD and often a coke or a beer cost 1 USD while it may cost 60 cents in Vietnam. These costs add up quickly. This day was indeed still a cheat day; there were some days I spent over 70 euros. Just an example is Angkor Wat – the entrance price is 37 USD, and you need either a tuk-tuk or a bicycle for which you also have to pay – it was the most expensive attraction in 3 months traveling.

Phong Nha – Duck Stop and Farm Stay

This day was so much fun! I rented a bicycle and drove to the Duck Stop, and the Farm Stay in Phong Nha and had an amazing day. For 150.000 VND (5,6 Euro) I could feed the ducks, ride a Buffalo and got food at the end. I definitely had the most fun in the duck cage. They ate from my hands, from my feet, I was the “duck leader,” and I let fly a duck into the water. To end the day, I went to see the sunset at the Farmstay with a good beer and fresh fruits.
