How much I spent in one day in Laos – the Video

It’s time to see how much I spent in one day in Laos. I have to say, Laos is really cheap! Especially the activities are incredibly cheap, and the local food is also affordable. I spent a little bit more on that day because I had a private Hotel room. This has two reasons. First of all, I needed some privacy, and I found that the Hostels in Laos are just not as good as in the rest of SEA, so I decided myself for a private room and paid a lot more than for a Hostel room.

A day with the Elephants

In Chiang Mai, I went on a day tour to the Elephants at an Elephant sanctuary. We could feed them, give them medicine and after that, we could bath one of the elephants. I was a fantastic experience, and I can only recommend you do it too. Just pay attention that you don’t ride an elephant, please make sure before the booking if there is no riding included.

Scorpions and other insects – the taste test in Bangkok

To be honest, I think that insects, scorpions, and worms are the nutrition of the future. Without going too much into detail – To produce one Kilogram of insects a lot less water food and CO2 emissions are produced. Thinking about the fact that meat production is one of the biggest reasons for climate change I would welcome this idea. Besides, insects need a lot less space and have more proteins than meat.

How much I spent in one day in Cambodia – Video

Cambodia is expensive – yes it may be located in southeast Asia, but it is the most expensive country I visited until now. Why? What I heard is that the Chinese invest so much in this country located next to Vietnam and Thailand, so the prices rise steadily. Another reason might be that everything is paid in USD and often a coke or a beer cost 1 USD while it may cost 60 cents in Vietnam. These costs add up quickly. This day was indeed still a cheat day; there were some days I spent over 70 euros. Just an example is Angkor Wat – the entrance price is 37 USD, and you need either a tuk-tuk or a bicycle for which you also have to pay – it was the most expensive attraction in 3 months traveling.

How much do I spent in one day in Vietnam? – Video

Vietnam is cheap – very cheap! In the past, I showed you how much I have spent in one day in Bejing in Macau and now in Vietnam. Vietnam is here definitely the leader and you can have a great day for under 20 euros! Like this, I did a motorbike tour from Hoi An to Da Nang, slept in a Hostel, had good food and this for around 18 euros. Definitely one of the reasons why you should visit this beautiful country.
