There is an underground system in Bangkok? I didn’t know that something like that exists in Asia – That’s what my best friend told me when I texted him that I would take the underground to get to a night market. Yes – there is an underground system and even a Skytrain running through Bangkok, and they are often the best way to get around as they aren’t stuck in traffic.

The neon market has two dozen of restaurant where you can eat and sit, else than the other markets where you only have little shops who sell the food and you eat it while walking. All of the restaurants serve kind of the same food with little difference, so it’s more about where you feel comfortable and want to sit. The food choice is vast with fresh grilled fish, traditional Thai dishes, and all kinds of seafood. Prices are a little higher than on other markets, but therefor you can sit down.

The Thai red cross runs the snake farm, and they primarily use the facilities to extract venom from the snakes to produce vaccines and other medical products. But every weekday at 2.30 PM there is a snake-handling show in which you can participate and hold a snake by yourself at the end.
