Isla Mujeres is a tiny island just off the coast from Cancun, and it was one of my favorite destinations in Mexico. Although I only spend one full day on the Island, I would recommend a visit.

Accidents happen, and things break, no matter where in the world you are. And although nothing terrible ever happened to me, I had some small incidents where I broke something, made a scratch or other people traveling with me had a similar thing.

After a quick stop in Luxembourg, I’m back on the road. This time it’s the other side of the continent, Mexico and later the rest of South America. Tomorrow, I’ll fly home for the first time in 14 months and only for three weeks before my journey continuous in South America. I left at the beginning of October 2018 and had the time of my life. So I decided to cut a video of the best moments, and it gives me goosebumps every time.

My hiking trip from Jiri to Mount Everest Base Camp was amazing, in general. Still, there were also many unpleasant moments, many things which weren’t luxurious, and many moments I wanted to give up. It’s an adventure, not a 5-star all-inclusive vacation. I knew that, and it’s totally fine with me. However, it was even harder in the end, then I could imagine. This is not a blog entry to keep you away from the whole thing; you should just know what you are getting into and be prepared. In the end, it was terrific, as you can read in my other entries.
